From a small distance
it seems a lighted dolls' house
segmented
compartmentalized
walls arbitrate function
bed-room
"this room is for sleeping"
dining-room
"this room is for eating"
it's like a game
the animated dolls inside
move from one space to another
changing purpose with place
acquiring meaning through location
"I am in the living-room"
the roof holding the walls together
the walls holding the dolls inside
the dolls holding themselves
and sometimes each other

Really like this one!
Simple, conceptual, and in the end affecting. Good stuff.

I keep trying
to get at the root of my curiosity-- when walking at night I am drawn to look at and into houses (not peeping Tom fashion!), to see the people, the life inside, the whatsgoingon. And on the walk that night, it struck me as odd that we divvy up the space of the box into smaller boxes. Wackadoodle.
