A table shows
what eyeball knows
and deeper watchers in the blood:
the days increase
and sunlight's lease
within our lives goes flood.
Two minutes more
and yet two more
now farther is the night
I stretch into
this new milieu
as daylight fills my grateful sight.

okay, I cheated a little
I logged in and spent a few minutes searching my brainpan for a subject. When I found it, and had the first rhyme lined up, I started. Fun!

deeper watchers
That one took me a few reads to get, but I like it lots: "and deeper watchers in the blood"

I gave it a couple of sidelong glances, too, before I let it be. I think parentheses around that line would help, but I'm in a less-is-more phase and am eschewing (or hob-gobbling) punctuation. Our blood's rhythms are tied more profoundly to the music of the spheres than Homo sapiens digitalensis seems generally willing to admit.
